The WD-6 PLUS GREEN with additional ioption: an automatic hood with Autostart. It couldn’t be simpler. Slide the basket into the dishwasher, the hood closes automatically and the dishwashing program starts automatically. The hood opens automatically when the program is finished. The dishes are sparkling clean and begin drying immediately, while the dishwasher is ready for the next basket. In addition to faster dish processing, the automatic hood with “Autostart” also reduces the physical strain on the dishwasher operator. The fully automatic closing and opening of the hood and the fully automatic starting of the program reduces the strain on the arm and shoulder muscles, greatly reducing the risk of RSI complaints.

The unique tilting design of the hood sends the steam out the back of the hood and not into the face of the machine operator.

When the hood of the dishwasher is opened, the released water vapors are extracted by a fan. These vapors are directed past a heat exchanger. The vapors condense and do not enter the kitchen. The condensed water runs back into the machine. This recovers the energy from the captured water vapors. This heat is used to preheat the supply water. The energy thus recovered is approximately 1.5 kW/hour at 30 baskets/hour. When installing this steam condensing unit, it is not necessary to connect the machine to an external exhaust hood. Good room ventilation in the dishwashing kitchen is sufficient for a pleasant working environment. For optimal operation of the steam condenser unit, we recommend equipping the machine with an automatic hood and a weighted boiler element.

The discharge water from a pass-through machine has a temperature of 50-60°C. Normally, this heat is lost through the drain. The heat exchanger consists of an ingenious pipe system in which the heat from the discharge water is given off to the incoming cold water according to the countercurrent principle. The energy thus recovered is approximately 3.5 kW/hour at 30 baskets/hour. Depending on the use of the machine, this can lead to savings of up to € 500 per year.
