Stainless Steel Pass-Through Dishwasher

This Miele-Winterhalter pass-through dishwasher, model PG 8172 ECO, is made of stainless steel and operates on a 400V connection with a power rating of 7.1 kW. The unit accommodates 50 x 50 cm wash bins and is equipped with heat recovery and a drain pump.

A conveyor dishwasher is used in commercial kitchens and institutional kitchens where a constant stream of tableware, glassware, and silverware needs to be washed quickly. The machine is positioned between the dirty and clean zones, so that staff can load the crates on one side and unload them on the other.

How It Works

With a pass-through dishwasher, the laundry crate is slid into the machine from one side, and the wash cycle starts automatically as soon as the lid is closed. At the end of the cycle, the crate is removed from the other side of the machine. This setup physically separates the dirty and clean workflows, which improves hygiene in commercial kitchens.

Heat Recovery

Heat recovery captures the warm, moist air released during the washing process and uses it to preheat the incoming cold water. This reduces the amount of steam released into the kitchen and lowers the energy consumption required to bring the wash water up to temperature.
